2009 Reserve Oregon "Wolf Hill" Clone "667" Pinot Noir | SOLD OUT|
Sold out until the next Vintage
Very smooth, with a rich mouthful of nice baked cherries, soft cola notes as well as smoked bacon and vanilla to round out the finish. This full-bodied Pinot will reward cellaring due to it’s dense tannins, yet opulence awaits those choosing to enjoy now. YUMMY AGAIN!
Try this Pinot Noir with seared Tuna rolled in peppercorns. Accents food paired with ginger, thyme and fresh rosemary. One of my favorites Leg of Lamb marinated in Lavender overnight. Delicious!!

2009 Reserve "La Creole" Pinot Noir $28.95 00-99114
Winemaker’s Description:
Dark ruby in color with flavors of black cherry, cola, nut and oak that meld on the palate. A blend of the best barrels of wine from the vineyards I feel produced the highest quality grapes for the year’s harvest. Pinot Noir is the Noble red grape of Burgundy, capable of ripening in a cooler climate, which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will not reliably do. It is unpredictable and difficult both to grow and to vinify, but results in some of the finest reds in the world. We are situated in a natural weather shadow of the Coast Range, which shunts storms from the Pacific Ocean north to Portland and south below Salem in the Willamette Valley, the Eola Hills vineyards are protected from weather extremes. Yet in summer, a gorge carved by ancient glaciers draws in maritime air to provide ideal cooling for sensitive varietals in those warmer months. This provides us with what we feel is the best area to produce Pinot Noir. more...
