Eola Hills’ 2012 Roadtrips
Just a quick email to announce Roadtrips we are planning here at Eola Hills for 2012…..with a request that you respond to this email
to those you have an interest in. There are four listed that require
extensive advance planning and/or are rapidly approaching, so if
interested in any of these, an expedient response is appreciated. They
are……
1. OSU Baseball Trip…….Feb 17……..The
Beavs open the Season in Santa Barbara with a 4 game series, and they
follow that with another tournament in San Diego that very next week.
Our trip features an option for one or the other…..or both……and since
we’re in the area, how about the Beavers basketball game against
Stanford on Thur, the 16th as well. Call or email for cost and specific
options.
2. Eola Hills’ 5th annual European Wine Adventure……April 22……().
We already have 43 people signed up for this 9 day trip exploring the
Port and the Douro wine region of Portugal, as well as the Rioja in
Spain, then onto Madrid. With a 3 night optional add-on at Quinta Nova
Winery’s private estate Inn (including a joint Winemaker Dinner with
Eola’s own Steve Anderson and Quinta Nova’s ) in Portugal at the start,
and a 2 night extension in Madrid, including a tour of the medieval city
of Toledo, at the end, this tour could be extended to 14 nights……Space
for 8 more people only!
3. Sylvia Beach Winemaker Dinner…….Spring
date not yet set. We will be reserving all 20 rooms at the historic
Sylvia Inn on Nye Beach in Newport for this mid week 2 night excursion
including a great dinner featuring Eola Winemaker Steve Anderson, and
renowned Sylvia Beach Chef Kathy Lusk.
4. UCLA/Arizona Football Roadtrip…….Sep 22-Sep30……The
Beavers first road games of 2012 will be on back to back weekends in
September, and depending on interest, we are looking at hosting a
weeklong trip between games that will feature layovers in Las Vegas and
the Grand Canyon. Because of the overwhelming popularity of the Grand
Canyon in late September, we need to book hotel rooms now (some are
already full).

2. Boston Red Sox……….July 1 (featuring OSU’s own Jacoby Ellsbury)
3. New York Yankees……July 25
4. Angels/Red Sox………Sep 2&3 (overnighter
5. Boston Red Sox………Sep 3
OSU Football…….
1.
UCLA/Arizona…………Sep 22 & 29 (we will also do 2-3 night options for
each game as well as the weeklong trip alluded to above).
2. BYU…………………….Oct 13
3. Washington……………Oct 27 (this game will be at Century Link Field)
4. Stanford……….……….Nov 10 (wine country tour)
5. Oregon…………………Nov 24 (our 28th annual Civil War Brunch)
