Oregon Syrah   2007 "Fizzy Foch" Marechal Foch
$10.95

Marechal Foch is typically a dark, inky purple, dry red wine.  However, we had so many requests for a sweet red, that we made this one a little different.  The fruit hung on the vine a little longer than normal to produce a sweeter red wine.  Then we added a  touch of an effervescent bubble.  If you like Rieslings or Muscats, you have got to try this!!

Have fun with this wine!  Serve room temperature, chill it down, warm it up (add mulling spices), try it added to Mimosas or Sangrias.

2006 turned out to be a banner and bountiful vintage, great weather prevailed throughout the year culminating with a native American Summer. Ripe berries and cherries and soft supple texture coupled with toasty oak, mix on the palate, leaving a memory of desire.

Pinot Noir | Oregon Wine   2007 Oregon Pinot Noir - Just Released 5/1/08
$12.95
00-88411

Gentle flavors of cherries, and strawberries with a light silky finish.

Very young - just bottled May 1st, 2008.  We highly recommend laying this down for at least a few weeks or longer if you can wait... Because it is still very tight and closed due to some bottle shock.  Steve Anderson, our Head Winemaker, says that he thinks 2007 will be one of the best vintages he has worked with as of today!

Try this Pinot Noir with Lamb, Pork , or Fish. In other words this wine will go with just about anything. One of my favorites is Spicy grilled sweet potatoes. This wine has good balance and can go with a wide variety of grilled or smoked foods such as pork or a roasted vegetable salad.

BEST OF VARIETAL AND A GOLD MEDAL WINNER!  ASTORIA SEAFOOD & WINE FESTIVAL, APRIL 2008

This reveals fragrances of blueberries, cherries, pepper, and earth. In the mouth, it’s a silky, expansive, full-bodied, savory wine with beautifully integrated acidity, wood, alcohol, and tannin. Soft tannins add to the luscious texture of this delightful wine. These compact berries produce wines that explode on impact in the mouth, with layers of blackberries, cassis and liquorice.

WINE ENTHUSIAST MAGAZINE November 2007 had this to say:

Rough and chewy, to be sure, but it's got flavor in spades. Firm and tannic, this herbal take on Oregon Cabernet would match up quite nicely with skirt steak or anything off the grill. BEST BUY

Fresh Bartlett Pears come to mind when you first inhale the delicious aroma. At first taste, it is light, refreshing, and a little fruity with a light finish. A little spritz on the finish. Delicious with wild sockeye salmon. This Pinot Gris was made exclusively from grapes grown in the Willamette Valley. Aged only in stainless steel to allow the fruit flavors to come forward. Similar in style to the Pinot Grigio’s from Italy.

Dijon clone 152 planted on our estate, Wolf Hill Vineyard, meticulously cared for by our vineyard manager Jim Huggins, is the first to mature, and has the richest flavor of all the Pinot Gris we produce. Barrel fermented and aged for just a few months to flesh out the softer side of Pinot Gris. Rich, deep, and serious are the words Steve Anderson, Our Winemaker, uses to describe this wine.
