Aged in primarily Hungarian Oak for 15 months.  This is a huge, dark and concentrated Merlot with plenty to offer.  It is still very tight and will need to settle down before the flavors really begin to show themselves.  Check back in a month or so, we will re-taste this and will give new tasting notes at that time.

Selected grapes grown in the Applegate and Columbia Valleys produced this high quality Merlot.

Rich, smoky plum characteristics on the nose yield to cherry, cassis and barrel elements on the palate.

A mouth filling wine well suited for tossed green salad with Blue Chevre (goat) cheese and cherry tomatoes.
