2008 Reserve LaCreole Cabernet Sauvignon

Our head winemaker, Steve Anderson, chose the best barrels of wine for this delicious Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. First he decided on Applegate and Columbia Valley as the regions for the origin of the grapes this time around. Then he aged the wine for about 29 months in French and American Oak. Then he blended the wine together from the best barrels. The aroma reminds me of chocolate covered blueberries. The flavors consist of cocoa powder, dark chocolate and blueberries. This wine is medium bodied, medium alcohol level with nice smooth tannins to round out the finish. Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon needs to be decanted so open it, wait a few hours then enjoy! 2005 Reserve "LBV" Cabernet Sauvignon Port

The nose opens up with candied walnuts and dried currants. Delicious tart but sweet cherries explode in the mouth. The finish is warming and lingers FOREVER! This vintage is lower in alcohol - only 17% compared to the '04 having 21% - and it works perfectly. This vintage was aged in Oak barrels for 5+ years. Delicious again!
